We have never been under such intense scrutiny as we are today. The UK is the most surveilled country in the world, with an estimated one CCTV camera for every fourteen people.
Alex’s project explores mapping space on different levels, with London as the focal point. Drawing inspiration from Charles and Ray Eames’ Powers of Ten and George Perec’s Species of Spaces, each print zooms in six times closer than the one before. This utilises the point system of type measurement within the letterpress process, in which units are divisible by six.
